Mommy Question: Does anyone know if there is an OBGYN in Weatherford that will do a VBAC (Vaginal birth after cecerean). Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Maury P. replied:
If you don't mind a 20 minute drive use our midwives!! They are amazing and I love them all!! Amber B. replied:
Dr Stamatis gave me the option of a vbac after two c-sections. I would of been able to but i had an infection after my water broke.
Dyanne B. replied:
I love Dr. Stamatis!! He's awesome:)
Danielle B. replied:
Both Dr. Stamatis and McBride are great! Their csection rate is much lower than the national average and are supportive of VBACs.
MosaicMama A. replied:
Dr. McBride:)
Shannon B. replied:
Dr Howell at Harris southwest
Carly A. replied:
Dr. Hoffman Willow Park and he is not nearly as packed with patients as Dr. Stamatis always was
Rita F. replied:
Molly Germash works with many high risk. She and Kim Watkins took me when my gyno dropped me because I became pregnant. I didn't have 6 weeks to wait for an appointment with an ob/gyn.
Candice L. replied:
I didn't VBAC because of a twin pregnancy, but I loved Dr. Hoffman. He's probably one of my favorite doctors of all time.
Joanne A. replied:
I know for a fact Dr Hoffman in willow Park will NOT to a VBAC on anyone. Go with Dr Stamatis he is amazing!!
Mylissa C. replied:
I use dr Mcbride . My first was c-section due to breech, but she has always told me my second is up to me ( I prefer c-section though) . Dr Stamatis did a Vbac for my friend as well.
Crystal J. replied:
It's not Weatherford, but Dr. Kolar at Harris Southwest does VBACs and has a successful history.
Katie B. replied:
I saw Dr. Jones, in Fort Worth. Best doctor I've ever seen. Patient gets to choose all they want, and he just guides you through your journey, and assists when you ask for it. I was going for a vbac, and after a decline in my health at 40 w, he cried ...See More

I went to Dr. Chainakul in owasso. She gave me the option of a repeat csection or try a vaginal birth. She doesn't judge u and it's more or less u do it how u want to, even throughout the pregnancy, and she helps you

Heather P. replied:
Dr Helen Clarke is fantastic, as well as hotel SJOG! I would highly recommend her
Natalie P. replied:
R: I have also heard that Helen doesn't have the best bed side mAnner. Aswell as the safety as my child I also rate their bedside manner as important to relax you. I had Dr John Love at SJOG subi. I can also highly recommend Dr Mike Aitken who also works with Dr Love. You need to feel comfortable with who you chose
Vicki O. replied:
E: Try MoMo Hair Design at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Clarkson. Ask for Jayde. She is the Manager. Young but awesome & knows her stuff. She changed mine from dark brown to bright red, back to brown & back to bright red again! It had to be bleached eac h time. My hair is still in top condition, thanks to Jayde's advice & great work. On my last visit I saw them change a young Asian girl's black hair to white! They are awesome! And not too pricey. Located near Target. Good luck!
Amanda S. replied:
E: I haven't personally had my hair dyed but I love the service at Toni and Guy in Subiaco. Great service and very professional. My mum used to get her hair cut and dyed there. I only stopped getting my hair cut there due to moving SOR and becoming stay at home mum.
Miranda S. replied:
Helen Clarke is fantastic don't worry all will be great . St. John's is brilliant too like being in a hotel. Why was a private Ob trying to make you go to a public hospital???
Nick D. replied:
To E. She does amazing work and is affordable too! https://www.facebook.com/.../The-Mane.../229746657209927
Abby C. replied:
R: Dr Clarke delivered both of my boys by C-section (first was emergency and second was 17 months later) and I really liked her. My husband and I found nothing wrong with her bedside manner. She is direct and to the point but also friendly. I thought s he was pretty funny actually. I never doubted any advice she gave me during my pregnancies. The midwife at her office is great too. I've also heard good things about all of the Doctors within her rotation.
Jessica M. replied:
Helen Clarke delivered my son three years ago. During the delivery, I suffered a very rare condition called an amniotic fluid embolism. Dr Clarke recognised this condition and saved my life. We are forever in her debt. She has a no nonsense bedside manner, but will move heaven and earth to make sure you get the best care.
Julie M. replied:
To R. I unexpectedly had Helen Clarke with my 1 st. He was an emergency c-section. She was great, very professional. If you need a friendly loving doctor maybe go elsewhere as she wasn't the friendliest but the op was great and if she didn't move as fast as she did with the c-section I may not have to beautiful 7 year old today.

Frances B. replied:
R, Dr. Helen Clarke was amazing. She has a no bull approach to things. She respected what I wanted which was to deliver my 2 nd baby naturally (after a very traumatic natural birth of my 1 st - we didn't see her then). She wasn't there during the birth as she was on her planned holidays but I had Dr. Melissa O'Neill with me the entire time who knew my history and details. That's how they work at SJOG; they're amazing.
Anna C. replied:
My children go to Peter Carnley, we have been there for the last 4 years and love it. R: I had my son at SJOG Subi with Helen Clarke and she was great, would recommend her. I also had to change OB around 20 weeks as we moved from interstate to Perth and she was very accommodating and as others mentioned a straight talker but still kind.
Tammy D. replied:
R: I had Helen Clarke with my 2 kids & she was fabulous. I had complications with my 1 st & she was very to the point about everything which I loved. She is brilliant at what she does. Would highly recommend her. I know of others that had c sections & I heard nothing but positive feedback also. SJOG Subi is wonderful too. All the best. You are in good hands.
Sharon N. replied:
I don't know her but if you need someone else can highly recommend Michael Allen or Simon Turner (unlikely to get in to Simon though at this stage)
Analisa G. replied:
R: Dr Clarke is fantastic. She delivered both my children. I highly recommend her. All the best with birth of your baby:)
Carmel R. replied:
Helen Clarke is one of the most experienced obstetricians in town. She came highly recommended to me by King Edward emergency staff and after two pregnancies and births with her I would highly recommend her. Firm, confident, and demands high quality care from staff at the hospital. Very supportive and caring.
Calli M. replied:
I had both my girls with Dr Clarke. Both were c sections (1 st was emergency). Could not have been in better hands. She is very to the point - not a lot of fluffy hand holding but she is the best and knows her stuff. I felt I was in the best hands. She was a lot more friendly with my second baby. You will be in great hands and SJOG is a great hospital. I had a great stay both times.
Kacie H. replied:
Helen Clarke is fabulous. So knowledgeable and down to earth. And just simply a great doctor and lovely lady. You will have no problems going with her
Kate B. replied:
R: I didn't have Helen Clarke but she is part of the rostered group my Ob was in so I could have ended up with her on the delivery day. I've heard good things about her and also think SJOGH Subi is fabulous. I had my daughter there 2.5 years ago.
Traci S. replied:
R. I used Helen Clark, she was great! Very very good!
Brett W. replied:
Dr Clarke is fantastic. My partner was walking within days and healed fantastically. We had both kids via c section at sjog. Really hoping she doesn't retire before our third. Kacie Headley
Loanne C. replied:
Can't tell you much about Dr Clarke but having worked as a nurse at all Perths metro public and private hospitals and having no gap health insurance with my expat husbands work, I chose to have both my kids at King Eddies as a private patient. The deco r and food isn't that pretty but you and your baby have are in the most experienced, accountable and safe hands. If you have been advised to go public, don't discount this advice. Best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery whatever your choice.
Rhy D. replied:
Thankyou ladies. Feel alot better now. Amy, it wasn't KEMH they wanted to send me to, it was Mandurah Hospital as that is who they are closest too. I have had bad experiences there in the past but family were well looked after at SJOG for other procedures so I am comfortable with them. Thankyou all for the reviews, I can relax now knowing that I am in good hands even after this bad experience.
Matt B. replied:
Elizabeth Simpson - I'm sure you can vouch for Dr Helen Clarke too! xx
