Bob H. replied:
On Brookton Hwy between Roleystone and Kelmscott there is the Kim Valley Restaurant. There are two restaurant cafes in the old Roleystone Shopping heritage precinct. I regret I don't have the current names right now One I know as the "Grape Gallery" the other as the "Valley View" plus a few tearooms along Croydon Road enroute Araluen Botanic Park and the Araluen Country Club estate. both of which also have cafe/restaurants. The Botanic Park is in its busy season so overnight preparation at Chalet Healey may rule that out. Paul Peacock. Can you recall the name of what I think might have been Valley View Restaurant at the rear of Sam Saffioti's. This clip is the Roleystone Heritage retail area, the Valley View is similar architectural style to Sam Saffioti's real Estate office in the fist part of this clip and entrance is through there. Grape Gallery is an older building and appears in the mid and tail of this clip. Good luck with your quest. If you end up shooting up here let me know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw694NkKBDw

From Kristy: New to town. Going out on a date with husband on Friday. Looking for a restaurant with nice atmosphere and live music. Any suggestions? Thanks..

Fork & Plate on the 25 th puts on a great meal at a reasonable price. As for live music there is no restaurant that I know of that offers that. However if you want live music in Alcona I would suggest you check out www.musicupclose.com for house concerts that will be available this year. They don't start up again until April 2014.
