Hello - does anyone happen to know where I could buy an amplifier for djing with. I can't seem to find any hi-fi seperates shops, or a suitable electronics store...
Jonathan O. replied:
http://www.prodance.cz is pretty good for all DJ gear, they supply most of the other shops and will repair almost anything
Mark W. replied:
is that place on Husitska still there? ..not far from Ponec Divadlo!? ..i was there only once for a pre amplifier for my record player, but they had a decent selection of used and new stuff, also for pros, i think. Cant come up with the name. mazbe Studioline?! ... www.studioline.cz
Paddington C. replied:
Connect with Justin Steinmetz as he runs online radio sites and dj's around town
Jonathan O. replied:
Have u tried www.Alza.cz if its just a basic hi-fi amp you are looking for? TBH I had trouble getting one of these in 2004 so I can't imagine what its like now. What kind of DJ set up is it? My advice would be active studio monitors which if they are just for DJing at home and not production you can get for a pretty reasonable price

I buy all my converters here: http://rasel.cz/qx15/cestovni-redukce - 220>110 is 35 CZK, at Francouzská 34
Adrian P. replied:
Thanks Johanna, these seem to be simple adapters, I need a converter (that changes voltage). I found a couple other sites in case someone else is looking: http://www.gme.cz/f-men230-v-115-v-800-w-p332-229 and http://www.ges.cz/cz/akumulatory-baterie-zdroje/menice-napeti/ac-ac-110 v-230 v-a-230 v-110 v/SIVF.html

Does anyone know of a Canon camera store -- that may sale cleaning items for lenses? Or better yet, someone who can professionally clean my lenses? The supplies I have...
David W. replied:
It's the same. It's on Vinohradska across street from JZP --- AWH SERVIS Vinohradská 100 130 00 Praha 3
Bridget J. replied:
The Canon shop is on Vinohradska, they clean and repair lenses and camera's.

You can't really clean optical glass, bc there is special coating on the top. Once you use anything to clean delicate coating, it will break that layer. I think Mr. Redcliff wrote that he doesn't use any filters at stuckincustoms.com afew years ago and Ken Rockwell wrote great article too. I don't know what you want to clean and where, but pure or at least 80% alcohol (cesky lih) works for the front and rear element. If you want clean inside and tighten your lenses Czech Canon is great or the best aroud. I have been professionally and non-pro shooting for few years and don't use front covers or filters to protect my lenses anymore and use alcohol to clean it. I have one 100-200mm lens with small scratch with no effects on the picture quality at all. Haze or fungus is a problem and you trash the lens.
Good day everyone. I am trying to find a battery charger for a Canon 60D. I have been to one photography/camera store, but the price was expensive -- even for a used...
