I know the egg is getting very popular in the US now. I saw them for the first time at Burger Fest last year. Anyone have practical experience using it? What makes it so special?

Big Green Egg is awesome (pardon the Americanism). Once you try it you'll never go back to a "normal" grill.

Hornbach has climbing roses now. They are called Popinave ruze. I always buy mine in the autumn from Starkl. http://eshop.starkl.com/ruze-popinave/

It's illegal to burn garden refuse in Prague. Each district usually has special containers in the fall & spring where people can bring their garden trimmings ( or you can take them to your local "sberny dvur"). Prague 6 posted a schedule of where and when these containers will be available : https://www.praha6.cz/system/file.php?File=f889_804.pdf&crc=fccca5 d6394276 bd5 a6716 f66 fcde51 b

They are starting to appear. There are some at Novy Smichov centre. In a week or so they will be able to find them in most areas of Prague. Usually on corners or shopping areas.
Lenka P. replied:
They will be everywhere soon - every supermarket will have a little fenced area outside. And DIY stores as well. Nice shopping trip could be Chládek zahradnictví - they even have great lunch spot. http://www.zahradnictvi-chladek.cz/
Are there any big crafting stores here like Michael's back in North America?

Maybe check Zahradnictvi Chladek - very nice, they have plenty of deco related stuff and flowers as well (it's mainly a gardening shop). You might be able to find something there. It's also a nice place to hang out. Prague 6. http://www.zahradnictvi-chladek.cz/

Does anyone know of a reliable and cheap gardener in Prague? My garden currently looks like a jungle. It needs strimming and a basic tidy up, nothing fancy!
Thanks :)
