I'm a veterinarian at Kachina Animal Hospital in Dewey. We are probably a bit of a hike for you, but I would like to chime in and recommend that you do get your little guy established at an actual vet clinic - even if you just take him in for a quick wellness exam to meet the vet. This way, if he were to get sick in the future you would have an established relationship with the clinic and staff. Also, if you do the vaccines yourself, please get them from a reputable pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, etc) rather than from a feed store. Hope that helps! Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood!

I highly recommend Mile Hi Hospital. (Very caring and rates are reasonable.)

Just moved to PV and want to know if anyone knows of any really good veterinarians that are somewhat reasonable for my three dogs and one cat. We had a great vet prior...
Jan L. replied:
Check out Prescott Valley Pet Clinic. I used them when I lived in PV.
Linda W. replied:
Mile Hi (in Prescott). Prices are reasonable, but more importantly -- staff and vets are TERRIFIC and very caring.
Tracey S. replied:
PV Pet Clinic. Have taken my pets there for 15+ years. I've had 2 cats, a Siberian husky, a yellow lab, & currently a German shepherd. My lab got valley fever after I lived in Tucson for 2 years, and they were amazing with her. They also treated her for anxiety. Both issues were resolved after appropriate treatment. She ended up getting cancer and dying at the age of 9 and they were so compassionate. I'll never take mine anywhere else.
Linda R. replied:
My dogs and I love Prescott Valley Pet Clinic, Phone:(928) 772-6069. Everyone who works there love all the animals they care for.
Vikki M. replied:
Not all Vets are created equal and I have used many in the Quad Cities. I agree with Michael Kahan that you should ask to visit a facility you may be interested in, speak with the Owner/Dr and decide what is a good fit for you and your animals. There are A LOT to choose from and closest to home is not always best. My vote is Chino Valley Animal Hospital.
Mary D. replied:
