I went to Dr. Young in Johnston. For impacted wisdom teeth they'll put you under. If they're not impacted you can do novacaine. I did novacaine for mine and I was pretty much recovered in 48 hours and healed fully much ahead of schedule. The guy is a very serious Asian dude but does an awesome job.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Marshall in Fall River at the corner of president ave. and elsbree st. a few years ago. I was pleased with the overall care and chose to be put under. Did not involve any IV's.

Dr. Steven Carey,oral surgeon . He did my root canal. Knock me out, didn't feel a thing . Great pain meds for,7 days after . He had a office on Dudley st. Across from Women & Infants Hospital . Good Luck

Mark Pochebit on Waterman. They have a parking lot in back of the building so you don't have to worry about parking on the street. He's been a family friend for longer than I can remember. Great guy

I go to Dental Horizons in Corliss Landing near Al Forno and am really happy. The waiting room is like an episode of Miami Vice with glass bricks and turquoise decor. It's very clean and professional. I've never had a cavity so I've only had cleanings but they seem very fair.

A colleague takes her daughter to Pediatric Dentistry and they like it. They have sunglasses for the kiddos in case the light is too bright. She goes to Dr. Lasser in Cranston, but they also have offices in Providence! http://www.peddentri.com/location.asp

Mine go to Brite smiles of RI and they've always had good experiences there, even with fillings. They have all the kiddo extras like tv and video games and a treasure chest (gasp!) which has been very helpful. And the dentist is nice. Only downside is its in Woonsocket, but pretty much right off 146...
