Slow kill....go to Petshed.com. get generic heart guard plus for 12 months .large dog for $38.00...yes a FULL year for under $40. THEN..eBay for aquatic doxycycline. .labeled pharmacy grade, it is VERY cheap under $20 for 100 capsules of 100 mm strength. NOW..give depending on weight of dog.. up to 400 mg ( 2 tabs am & pm Doxy for 30 day. Heartgard full one pill dose every 15( DAYS FIFTEEN) YES TWICE a month! Continue one month off, the on of Doxy. Ask vet to do blood work to see if Microfilia (worm larvae) are in bloodstream. ..stay on this !! HW can be gone within 6-8 months! It works!!! Must give heart guard twice a month...Doxy every other for three months with blood test.

I used First Coast No More Homeless Pets in Jacksonville. Despite the one hour drive and the wait every time, the cost was 70% less than regular vets.
does anyone have suggestions for a inexpensive but reputable vet to do puppy shots and spay and neuter for the parents.

I suggest Animal care experts in Thompson. I absolutely love them and they are so friendly to all the animals. It is the only place my cat will not try to bite the doctor so that's saying something.
