Buffalo Bill at the Portomaso/Hilton marina for the best steak, Suruchi Paceville (St Julians near Hilton) for Indian, Shoreditch Paceville (St Julians for amazing burgers and pancakes) and Avenue Paceville (St Julians) for anything else. We are staying at the Argento Hotel, St Julian's at the beginning of September. Could I please have recommendations for good places to eat around that area. Many thanks
We stayed at The Argento for 15 days in June and couldn't fault it, in fact we loved it and will happily go back next time! As for nearby restaurants, we enjoy 1927, Ghonnella, The Avenue, Gululu and Cuba. We've been to all of them several times over the years and would return again next time.

Would not recommend all inclusive in Malta as many restaurants to try and you say you want to be exploring so go half board. Personally prefer early June as everywhere is fresh from the winter. September/October can be humid and October can be start of the rain. Have a read of this link re what area would suit you best: https://www.maltauncovered.com/malta-holidays/where-to-stay/

San Antonio looks amazing and in a great spot in Bugibba. I just left the dolmen a few days ago and they have multiple pools with swim out bars and even a pool area that you can jump straight into the ocean. They have a spa treatment as well as 3 restaurants and one with a buffet breakfast.

Nice views etc. you will end up in Ghasri. From Ghasri there is a road going to Marsalforn on which you will pass by the salt pans. Also Wied Il Ghasri. A nice tiny bay.

Buy a bus card for 21 Euros. Unlimited travel for a week. We saved a fortune as my husband and I sometimes went on four bus trips each in one day which would have cost 2 Euros each per trip. Your bus card is also valid to be used should you go to Gozo.

I've stayed at the Panarama a couple of times and loved it... the last time was in march this year for three weeks . The hotel is very clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, Maria on reception is just amazing, go to her with any problem or advice and she will sort it for you. The food really is as bad as others have indicated and we just book bed and breakfast for that reason. I can fully recommend the Square bar at the square by the church, good food very clean and run by the owner Alex, if you like sport there's about 6 TVS and he will find you any football match you want to watch, Debbie cafe up the main street is to be experienced. .. the food is to die for a full English is just that, run by the British owners. I could go on and on about Melieha. .. if you want anymore info please get in touch or PM me I will help where I can x
