Anna, have you tried resetting the remote? Here's a link to troubleshooting. Also, you can open the door manually until it's fixed. You have to pull on that red handle, (up by the motor) to disengage the system. http://homeguides.sfgate.com/troubleshoot-garage-door-wont-open-50296.html
