Child & Day Care in Reading, PA

Someone had suggested Care.com and Sittercity.com to me. I have not yet had to use it as my family has all taken turns pitching in, but if I need to, I will!

I am just citing my experience with the application process for Autism Connections. I went through the process and this is what I was told. My SAM Inc, case manager called after I told him what I was told and I he was told the same thing. He also asked how this pertained to any child on the spectrum.

Try John Paul II. They have some summer programs.

Lori Heydt who told that about expressing themselves? Perhaps it was conveyed the wrong way. You are correct about program being hands off as far as aggression. As far as John Paul II if the child is high function it might not be the best fit. Aarons Acres already had their camp week in Berks was two weeks ago. I would look into wrap services as well to the behaviors. It sounds like this child may need some more intensive services than Autism Connections however without an evaluation from a psychologist appropriate recommendations can not be made. BTW I am a Licensed Behavior Specialist who now works with the Autism Connections Program. Please contact Christy Kistler if interested in the program.

I would strongly suggest Aaron's Acres for the summer. For the school year, I agree with Ray Johnson approach. We used typical day care and brought in BSC & TSS. Being in typical environment provides opportunities to mi del typical peers. We tried Autism Connections. But, it was only the last 3 weeks if the school year. So, I can't make recommendations. Although the enrollment and approval process was tiresome, the staff was nice & my son enjoyed the 3 weeks. So, we'll try it again.

Not sure if you have this place in Berks county, but we go through Providence Community Services here in Schuylkill county. YAP was full when we went through. Providence is part of RedCo Group. Hope it helps.

Reading Hospital Child Care Center Cuz. My daughter went there n my son goes there now.

The Goddard School in Reading. My daughter did preschool there. Great school! Even the security to get in is excellent!

Try Blue Ash YMCA

Eva Morales im more worried about ashantii in daycare because they teach her things at early age . Its pricey but worth it .

It's gonna be hard with a schedule like that. I'm so grateful that I have a full time baby sitter. Get Christopher Genre to do it

I have had bad experiences with several day care centers in the Reading area. The only place my son succeeded was The Goddard School in Wyomissing. I was a single mom and it was expensive, but it was well worth the money. They were fantastic with my son.
