https://sportspassport.com/ is a relatively new all-sports version. Doesn't really have the huge following this does, but it has the capabilities for tracking arenas & games.

Today is the 29 th anniversary of my first visit to Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. I saw the Pirates beat my Mets that night. In January 1989, I went to the great Chicago Stadium for the first time as well as the old Met Center where the North Stars played. Those were old barns especially the Chicago Stadium.:)
Any recomendations for hotels/ airbnb within 5 miles of Great American Ballpark?

Bryan A. replied:
Newport. Comfort Suites or Holiday Inn in Bellevue, Ky. Trolley takes you just outside the left field gate for a buck. Same fair for return trip. There are several places to eat at on the Levee as well.
Michael T. replied:
AC Hotel by Marriott is 30 feet from the stadium. Brand new place. Not sure on the cost.
Need some Kansas City Kauffman Stadium advice please! Taking my 11 year old son there this year to see our beleaguered Bravos play the Royals. We only get to go to one...
Brian H. replied:
We all still call it Oklahoma Joe's, but it recently changed the name to Joe's Kansas City BBQ, head there for eats. People will disagree with me on seats but I actually prefer uppers behind home...but I like that in most every stadium. But if your planning on spending some cash, the Diamond Club is pretty cool and you have access to a private lounge with a bar and concessions. Lots of out of towners stay at either the Durry Inn or Holiday Inn across the street, but you have to realize, there is really nothing to do around the stadium. If you plan on doing anything around town, I'd recommend staying somewhere close to downtown Power and Light District or the Plaza. There are plenty of places to eat, shop, and do around there. I would also make sure a stop at the Negro League Baseball Museum is in the plan and it sits in the jazz district of KC with some cool little jazz lounges. Your turn...we were wanting to knock Turner Park off our bucket list before it's closed. We are thinking September. What advice do you have?
Rheta G. replied:
Try to go to the Municipal Stadium site. Arthur Bryants for BBQ. We stayed at the Drury Inn. The fountains were gorgeous.
Tom B. replied:
Have you checked the chaser guide? http://www.ballparkchasers.com/notes/Kauffman_Stadium
Paul K. replied:
Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame isn't far from Arthur Bryant's.
Paul B. replied:
I didn't really like Arthur Bryant's when we visited. The Negro League Museum is definitely worth a look.
Carissa H. replied:
Chappell's Restaurant and Sports Museum is a MUST! Great memorabilia in that place!

I am going in June for first time and got a good rate at Fairfield Inn at The Meadowlands in Jersey. Supposed to be a public transportation/bus stop directly across from hotel that is straight shot into city.

Even time square, short walk to GCT. That's where I would aim. Lots of hotels, might get a decent rate, walk to Grand Central for the subways, lots to do in the area.
Roger T. replied:
I stayed at The Holiday Inn Express in Philadelphia. Very close to the historical sites and you get a subway close by.
I'm thinking about catching a Baltimore Orioles game next Friday, June 17. Can I just walk up and buy tickets or do they sell out? Are there any good hotels within...
James B. replied:
Babe Ruth museum is definitely worth a visit if you have time. It is only a few blocks from the park. Inside the park, best value for the money is Boog's barbecue (Boog Powell is often there signing autographs) - pit beef, turkey or pork. It is one large sandwich for $10 (better deal if you are on club level where you can get the same sandwich for $10 but the sides (beans, chips, cole slaw) are included instead of extra). Also on the lower level, the tacos and the Korean tacos are decent (not the best, but good) and a good value for the money. If you get nachos, make sure its at the taco stand where you can get them loaded as opposed to the other random nacho places were they only come with what appears to be melted cheez whiz and salsa. Dempsey's brew pub is another good option if your early. The food is really good there, the homebrews, not so much. It's in the warehouse on Eutaw street, Across from Boog's and next to the team store. Other places I mentioned are on the lower concourse. Friday night will have good attendance, but probably will not sell out.
Just booked an extremely cheap flight to catch the Yankees and Astros at Minute Maid Park on 7/26.

Kristie S. replied:
I traveled there earlier this month and stayed at the Holiday Inn express. It was within walking distance of the park and was a very nice hotel with free parking.
Hotel suggestions for Busch Stadium??? Hate that I am spending my money there....haha
Russell B. replied:
We stay at the Embassy Suites on Washington and 7 th. We love it. 6 blocks from Busch. I have stayed at Hilton, Marriott (on Washington) and two or three others, but Embassy Suites is best.
Brian H. replied:
Check homeaway.com and look for a downtown loft. Usually cheaper and much better than a hotel.

MARTA goes to the airport so if you stay anywhere walking distance to a station you're set. Although to get to the Ted you have to get off at Five Points and take a shuttle bus. I've done that since 1990 no problem. Oh and you have to eat at The Varsity--MARTA to North Ave across the highway from Ga Tech.
Roger T. replied:
I took the Super Shuttle to the Hyatt House(great place) near CNN area and then uber to the game, that was reasonable and easier than driving.

Phil C. replied:
It might not be within walking distance, but Comet Cafe is a go-to when I'm on the East Side. A little further north you can find Ma Fischer's, which is open 24/7. Love the Ale House. Between you and the ballpark you can find Miss Katie's Diner, which is a MKE institution.
HELP! I need to make a decision about the Chasers get-together at SunTrust. I want to stay as close to the field as I can so hopefully I can walk to/from the stadium....
Stephen B. replied:
We stayed at the Doubletree-Galleria for opening weekend. Very short walk (3-4 minutes to The Battery, 5-6 minutes to the RF gates.) No major roads to cross (just one small secondary street). Great spot. There's also a Hampton Inn very nearby that is a very similar distance away. (Photo is google maps, shows very incomplete. Most of the construction is complete now.)
