Hello Taryn! I'm the owner of the Dirty Dog Grooming in Rehoboth... we are located on the avenue, just off of rt 1. We are very flexible and are often able to get you an appt with little to no notice. That having been said, sometimes we get very busy (esp Saturdays), and we do often require the dog to stay with us for a few hours (often longer if you have more than one). Dirty Dog is the best. It depends on who your dog likes. We had 2 yorkies & a black chow chow, they all came out looking great. The chow never got hot spots when she went there. They always made sure her undercoat was dry. Some places only take small dogs. It is a hit or miss.

My favorite is Kerrie Lynn Jones from wags to riches. Their shop is in fenwick but they also have mobile vans that come to your house to groom your dog there. The upside to that is they don't have to spend a half day in a kennel waiting to get groomed, it's one on one treatment and usually takes about an hour. Definitely the top of the line way to go, but our fur babies deserve the best don't they:)

We very highly recommend Bark & Park Mobile Grooming, since they come to your home and work on just your dog in their mobile grooming salon. However, I've heard that they might not be accepting new customers. Be patient when you call - they sometimes take a few days to return calls, since I think they return calls and set up appointments just once or twice a week. But they're well worth it. I *typically* have dogs dropped off for a few hours at a time and cage them when they are not being groomed, however I have many seniors and otherwise high stress dogs that come in that I can certainly work with you on timing. I use South Paw Acres owner is Connie Todd. She never crates her dogs and will only allow one dog in her shop at a time. I have a very hard to handle dog with high anxiety and Connie does great with her. She only has her for a short time and her prices are very reasonable. 302-853-2574

I think there is a wide variety of groomers available in the area and all listed above are be great options. I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with Pampered Pet. We have used Melissa Bacher Rodriguez for years ourselves for our dogs and have always been extremely pleased with both her grooming and her love and compassion for all of her clients.

We have happily used Melissa Bacher Rodriguez and Pampered Pet for our English Springer Spaniel for several years now and have always been exceedingly happy with the care and treatment Roux has received. Going to the groomer used to be an unpleasant experience for him until we switched to Pampered Pet and ever since, he loves going there. Posts like this are uncalled for. If you have an issue, handle it directly with the owner rather than trashing a small business on social media.

We have used Pampered Pet for our cat Sofie, who is half Persian, to get a lion cut a couple times a year, since she tends to get mats, for years. Melissa does a great job and our Sofie trusts her. We won't take her anywhere else. Good job Melissa, see you on Tuesday.
