Dr. Mooney is a good friend of mine. I've never had to rely on him in a professional capacity, but he's definitely a wonderful person and an amazing runner (ran NY marathon last weekend).

I just want to say thanks for this thread. I had no idea who to see for my Achilles pain. Based on the info here, I took a chance on Dr. Mooney. He definitely "gets" runners, and absolutely radiates niceness and a positive attitude. He has me working with the physical therapist who treats him and his wife, and I am seeing drastic improvement after only 2 sessions. Earlier today I had my first pain free run in a couple of months. Granted, it was only 2 miles, but I am thrilled.

I saw Dr Mooney last week.....we decided that I don't need toe surgery....the best part is that if I need a foot doctor doen the road I am already an estsblished patient.
