Hi Everyone, Does anyone have a blog that they update regularly regarding professional hair salon tips and styling? If not, do you turn to blogs of other salon...
Susan V. replied:
I just remembered that I go to hairboutique.com to look up info. They have a blog. Also hairfinder.com. Both have blogs with good info. Hope this helps!
Darlene A. replied:
I'll definitely try hairfinder.com. The last few times I tried Hair Boutique it wouldn't connect, as if the servers were down there. Has it worked for you recently?
Darlene A. replied:
Yeah I tried it again on two different browsers and still nothing. Hairfinder.com it is! :-)
Darlene A. replied:
I see. I'll stick with hairfinder.com and looking for other blogs as well.
Neighbors, you all have great recommendations. I'm dying for a haircut and my hair guy moved. Any recommendations for hairstylists or good walk-in salons?

I love Rhonda and Jerome Hagood at Hair Art & Co. They are at Campbell & Mimosa.
Stacey A. replied:
Nice! Once my hair grows out enough (probably another few weeks) I'll hit you up! Not going for anything fancy, mind you...just something that's easy to style. I am terrible at styling my own hair and due to a birth injury, I'm unable to use a round brush and hairdryer simultaneously. So what's easy for some clients is next to impossible for me. My hair either looks like seaweed or like Mary Tyler Moore in the 70 s because it likes to flip out instead of under. BOOOOOOOOOOOO bad hair.
Amy P. replied:
Oh dang girl this is a crisis! June Denniston at Campbell and Coit (214) 562-8362. 10 years and my hair ALWAYS looks good.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good, local men's haircut? I am really happy with my current person but she is downtown and it is hard to schedule with small...

Although it is not considered a Men's salon, I have been going to Hue at Le's Hair Pro for years now. It's next door to the Tom Thumb on Arapaho.

I'll second the recommendation of Sid Erwin at Sid's in the Heights Shopping Center. He's good, he's reasonable and he's close by the neighborhood. His number is 972-238-9069.
Looking for a reasonably priced salon. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Kay M. replied:
I'm going to do that. I went to someone for the second time: thick and fuddy duddy in back. So I just stopped in at Beauty Brands Salon at Coit and Campbell by the Tom Thumb. Tiffany, whom I'd never met, had just finished someone. Great! I asked her to just subtly layer the bottom of the back more. This is really hilarious because I said when I looked in the mirror, "Isn't the right side longer than the left." Also with this short haircut, there were now little solo strings of hair hanging down the left, not on the right. She said, "Nope."--even to her! I looked at home. The right is very much longer than the left and totally different--Is it a problem? The guy in the next cube said, "Heh, most people don't look at the right and left at the same time." Now after $14 more after a $60 cut, I'm going to Great Clips to get the bottom fixed. And I have to find someone else to go. Aveda: I'm in.
Looking for a hairstylist or salon recommendations in the area that can do cuts, highlights, color etc. Thanks!
