Does anyone have recommendations in the best place for me to have my knee looked at? Should I just go to primacare?
Laney B. replied:
What did you do? I hurt my should a few years ago and went to carenow....complete waste of time. I now go to Texas Orthopedic Associates at Presby Dallas. Lots in the practice that specialize in different parts of the body. Fairly certain Dr. Arcanely does knees. My brother went to him many moons ago too....he's good!
Allison H. replied:
Maggie--Racanely is who we go to as well at Texas Ortho Associates. Anyone in that practive is awesome. They have fixed many broken Palmer and Handlin bones! if you need a ride, let me know!
Casey F. replied:
Second, or fourth...Dr. Mehta
Rebecca H. replied:
Yes, to Texas Orthopaedic Associates. Doctors Thornton, Montgomery, and Paschal are great!!! Can't remember who does knees, but their website can direct you. http://www.txorthopaedic.com

Carrell Clinic. 75 and Park Lane.

I do non-invasive knee-rehabilitation with CranioSacral Therapy. Try to help people avoid surgery. PM me.
Regina H. replied:
Dr. Jeffery Hamm, orthopedic doc in Richardson. He did surgery on my husband's knee 20 years ago...now THAT knee is the "good" knee.:-)
Cathy P. replied:
Insight Imaging $400 MRI's. Touchstone Imaging (recently purchased by a hospital) $1500 MRI's.
Susan C. replied:
Dr Dimeff is good, on synergy behind UTD at UTSW medical clinic.
Lori A. replied:
Don't waste you're time at a walk up clinic. Texas Orthopedic is awesome.
Vicki R. replied:
To be clear, the newest research does not favor ACLS surgery for long term results. So I was not advocating surgery. Simply explaining that to get to the root of the problem you probably need a MRI to show any soft tissue damage. PT can rehab so many injuries, as can rest& ice. Good luck
Amy L. replied:
My Mom used Dr Mehta based on a referral from her doctor which is sometimes scary ...he's great......I use Plano Orthopedic. ...Dr Sutker....and have for over 30 years...www.posmc.com
Joanne V. replied:
We use Dr. Sheinberg at Presby Professional Bldg. He's with Texas Orthopedic. He's a knee specialist and did my daughter's miniscus and ACL replacement surgery a few years ago. LOL she's an athlete and he's the only doctor we ever put down on forms as her doctor. She never gets sick.....just injured lol.
Vicki R. replied:
You probably need a MRI. ER won't order one- your PCP or an orthopedist will. Dr vineyard at Carrell clinic214 220 2468 is great, or Dr Baker, Dr Cooper( does one port surgery if you need it). Dr. Rutherford at Medical City is great.
In need of an orthopedic doctor. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Dr. Zoys was great for my knee. https://www.osmcg.com/
Karen W. replied:
Another recommendation for Carrell Clinic.
Jo V. replied:
Dr Sheinberg in the Presby Professional Bldg is amazing. He did my daughter's 2 ACL/Meniscus surgeries (competitive cheer injuries). He used to be one of the USA Olympic Ski team's Orthos back in the day. He makes the D Magazine's Best Doctor's list every single year. There are other doctors in the office that round out anything ortho related that can be imagined as well.
Lynne A. replied:
Carrel Clinic at 75 & Park Ln. cutting edge orthopedic surgeons - each specializing. Official Physicians to ALL four major professional athletic teams!!
James Brodsky ay Baylor OAD. He is truly the #1 doc in the southwest. He and his entire staff are awesome!

Dr Vineyard at Carrol Clinic
Vicky S. replied:
Sacheen Mehta at Comprehensive Orthopedics on Campbell.
Cathy P. replied:
DO NOT go to Dr. Gold in Plano. She will charge 2 x's the amount for orthotics and get interest on it for two years before she gets audited and is required to return the half you did not owe. She also will deliberately not treat 1 of three issues you present to her if she doesn't like you, so you have to return for another office visit for that 3 rd issue. Trust me, I know. When she put a cortizsone shot needle directly into my nerve and I yelled at her to stop, she did not treat the third issue. Four years later I returned to treat that issue and she admitted to me that this was the case, she chose to not treat the third issue because I yelled at her.
