Extra points - I know he also does garage door openers because I recommend him to realtors I work with for reprogramming garage doors. So if you need help with that too, he may be able to look at it.

Is the chain moving, if so then the gear is probably ok. My old craftsman's chain used to get out of line and the cable joint nut would get jammed. Great Garage Door is good. But I've heard Andi 'Christenson' Olson 's husband is quite a handyman.
