Can anyone recommend a pest control service for bees under the siding of a house? Called Terminex and they quoted $259, which seems steep to me.

We used Metro Pest for mice and they did a really good job. They had to come out three times to fix it but they kept coming back! Not sure if they do bees

Call the U of M's Extension Service (I think this is the number: 612-624-1222). If these are pollinators, you don't want to just exterminate. I think they could give you suggestions for relocating rather than killing.

Anyone know of a bee exterminator? Just moved into our house and we have a beehive.
Lynne M. replied:
We had a bee hive take up residence in a bird house last year. I called the U of MN Bee Squad and they directed me to one of their volunteers who came over to relocate the hive, free of charge: https://www.beelab.umn.edu/bee-squad Good luck!

We had mice last fall. To the point the would come into the living room WHILE we were there! We went through 3 pest control places and ended up with Rainbow Pest control. They were awesome, spent 4 hours finding and plugging up holes. They living room mice we caught with sticky traps, the snap traps didn't work for us.
James P. replied:
I use a live trap with peanut butter on a small piece of bread for mice and voles. And if I catch a chipmunk I can let him go. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06X9RC2S2/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1494901748&sr=8-11&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=live+traps+for+small+animals

We used Metro Pest and they came a few times to put out poison and plugged many holes. It was a one year warranty. Each company seemed to have a wildly different philosophy, so do your research if you go the pest control route.
Looking for pest control service recommendations. Squirrel in the attic. Go

We used Metro Pest and really liked how good of a job they did. Do NOT use Wildlife Management. Made that mistake last year. Way more expensive and didn't solve our critter issue.

I use Adams Pest Control, and they eradicated my mouse problem.

We have used West Side Pest Solutions a couple times for bugs, and they are fantastic! We had them spray for carpenter ants, and it totally solved the problem, and later on, we had them come out to look at a potential wasp issue, but they couldn't find a problem, and so didn't charge us at all. They are very reasonably priced- I think we paid $100 or so for the carpenter ants- and you can get coupons on Angie's list. You will have to call to make sure they deal with mice, but I am sure they do. Good luck!
Ally S. replied:
Metro Pest. They filled all the holes, put out poison, and gave us a year contract for I think about $350. They came back twice to troubleshoot. I was pretty satisfied with them!

Ally S. replied:
We went with Metro Pest. We paid around $300 for a year contract, I think. They plugged a bunch of holes and came back twice to find more or fix holes the mice had gotten through again. No problems! Very happy to be mouse free again!
