1) Alta Bates Summit Berkeley campus, main operator: no John Doe admission in the last five days -- their computers are all synced so no need to ask for ER staff. I got her name, she's sincere. 2) Highland ER charge nurse 'Jodi" will print and post a poster of Papi so if he comes to ER everyone will know him! And she gave me ER social worker direct line, left msg, will try again tomorrow. 3) Summit Oakland admissions transferred me Case Manager who could look back three days, and no record by name or of any John Doe in 3 days.

i just called kaiser hayward and went through the same thing. i spoke with a social worker named robert (direct line: 510-454-4398) who informed me that they didn't have any john does or anyone by his name who has been admitted. he also said that if a person was disoriented, confused, or demented, they would not have released them without a family contact-- they would have called the police.

Just called San Leandro hospital, also no John Doe's admitted in the last few days matching the description (or any at all). They also said that Oakland PD usually notifies them once a report has been filed.

Oddly enough, yeah. Corner of Main and Keefer (I think), Cheung Sing Herbal Co. In the back of the store is a desk with a woman who's been doing TCM since she was a kid in her father's shop in Canton. Lots of people swear by her. I know she can do acupuncture but she doesn't have a space for it. Not sure if she bothers anymore either. Semi-retired, so she's only at the shop between 2-4 most days of the week.
