A pet taken care of responsibly, is not cheap. I use Dr. Howell in Winchester, In, and believe he is very reasonable compared to many other vets.

Check Aussie rescue - there is one called New Spirit out of Cinci and they are great, we have adopted from them. There is a fee, but the dogs come fully vetted. Good luck.:)

Lynn Veterinary Hospital. Decent prices compared to TLC where we used to go. They also have flea medicine in the form of a chewable pill which is safer around your kids and actually turns your dogs blood into flea killer, so if fleas bite they will die off. The flea medicine is only $16/mo.

Support the Animal Care Alliance! They are super low cost, customer friendly and you can tell they actually care about the animals they treat- they aren't just out for every dollar they can get (which is the experience I've had at vet clinics such as Town and Country, and TLC was the worst!)
