Stephanie is looking for a doula in the Cleveland, OH area. She writes, "Asking this kind of late, but my husband and I are going for a waterbirth with my 2nd pregnancy...

The birth center might know of doulas in training that could help you. :) Also...dona.org lists doulas in your area and they may know of a doula in training that could help you. :) Good luck!
Becky D. replied:
My Bradley Class instructor (took the classes at St. John's) is also a doula (and a nurse). Her name is Jill Harmon and she knows her stuff! She's on facebook if you want to message her as I'm not sure of her email address.
Kellie M. replied:
OP, does your midwife not know of any in the area? We don't have good support around here for such things. Not sure who the midwife is supporting this mama but she can contact mine to see if they have recommendations. My midwife is a doula but wouldn't be the low cost option she's looking for but she may know someone who is. http://www.circleoflifebirthandfamilyservices.org/
Claudia K. replied:
Contact doulaneo.com (Doula network of northeast Ohio). They keep a list of doulas, and Sunday Tortelli can shoot out an email to others, and the ones in training to find you one :)

Sunday Tortelli and Kim Wright. I took a Hypnobirthing class from Sunday and Kim, who is a Bradley instructor, was going to attend my birth until I switched to home birth. Both would be excellent choices.
Genevieve B. replied:
Here is the link to my doula's page. http://michellehanthony.weebly.com/ I used her for my second home birth and she was wonderful. I did talk to her and she is currently taking clients. Good luck. I didn't use a doula with my first and wished I had. I was so thrilled that I did with my second.

Looking for a nurse midwife. Anyone have any recommendations?
Noelle Q. replied:
I love the midwife with my OBs office. Near chippenham ... Dr Diaz's office. Midwife is Teresa
Meg M. replied:
Amber Price - she works out of the Nelson Clinic(VCU Medical Center) as well as Stony Point Women's Center... she is amazing! I also recommend Kathryn Beaton - who works at the Nelson Clinic, who was great!!
Lauren F. replied:
I've had a great experience with the midwives at the Women's Center at St. Francis. Jean Curtacci (RN, CNM) is pretty laid back, very into allowing your body to do what it is meant to do, and she is extremely knowledgeable. Here's a link to their page: http://www.bonsecours.com/find-a-physician-bon-secours...
Molly H. replied:
I second Jessica Jordan at the birth center (Dr. Diaz's practice). It's called Complete Care for Women. I loved Kayhryn at MCV, but did not end up with her and would consequently not recommend MCV.

Carol Tibbals at VA Women's Center!
Tracey W. replied:
Susan, Carol is wonderful but she doesn't catch babies anymore. She does routine Prenatal checkups and gyn care. Same with Nadene Brunk. Sad that VWC no longer has midwives functioning as midwives...
