Geoff at Richmond PT at Willow Lawn has patched me up after rugby issues several times. They have their share of rehab patients but anecdotally I’ve seen lots of athletes in there.

The staff at Sheltering Arms really helped me. I had long term low back and hip issues that led me to 3 other PTs before I wound up there and they helped me feel better than I had in years.

I had a great experience with a local PT. It wasn't sports-related, but he does specialize in athletes. He's very smart and thorough and you can tell he really has an interest in his work. https://www.shelteringarms.com/clinician/jonathan-ebersole/

Look into VCU Sports Med, specifically Chad Taylor. He specializes in return to sports. Source: S.O. is a 3 rd year PT student doing clinicals around the area

Quick questions: Does anyone know of a swimming practice for toddlers (not AquaTots) that is good and reasonably priced?
Melanie T. replied:
I take my kids to the G.R.A.P. collegiate swim school. Its a hike as it is southside off Ironbridge, but we have done the YMCA & Aqua Tots, but we love GRAP the best. They are also very reasonably priced. www.swimrichmond.org

Dr. Kevin Gibbons from UB Neurosurgery is a conservative surgeon who is knowledgeable about Chiari. He did my decompression surgery in 2009 and he was amazing. Dr. Gibbons was part of the team who operated on Buffalo Bills player, Kevin Everett, who was paralyzed from a football injury. Now, Everett is able to walk! I went to Dent Neurology. I don't remember the neurologists name, but he is the one who referred me to Dr. Gibbons.

Hi Brynn, I live in Buffalo and had my decompression with Dr. Gibbons in 2001. I am still followed by him, but am looking elsewhere. He has positive and negatives, I would rather discuss in a private message with more details. I am happy to recommend a number of other doctors to you as well, I love my primary and my neurologist.
