I've never had any problems like that with Dr. Dodson. My dog has a heart condition and Dodson has never been anything but caring and considerate with her. She has even helped us on the bills by allowing us to use payment plans. Her prices are slightly higher than some others, but you are paying for her wonderful bedside manner and absolute love of animals. I just feel obligated after seeing a negative comment to share my positive story about her as well.

I use Dr Miller at Gulf Coast Vet Clinic in Angleton. Dr Sanchez sold the practice to Dr Miller a few years ago. I like taking my baby there. Dr Carter at Faith & Healing worked at this same clinic before opening her office in Richwood. Dr Carter is wonderful with pets & so is Dr Miller. Both offices are good choices.
Pat W. replied:
Faith & Healing is by far the best! I wish I had a people doctor that cares as much. Over the years Dr. Carter has treated 5 dogs & several cats & all lived to super old age. One dog to 17. I don't think there's a doctor better in BC!
Pat W. replied:
Call the Office Manager, https://www.facebook.com/makaya.rodriguez & talk to her. She can advise you about costs. I think they are super reasonable. I used to use Dr. Sanchez when he was in Angleton & he was very expensive! Also, Makaya can tell you about CareCredit which will help even if your credit isn't perfect. 979-265-5511.

Looking for a good vet in the angleton area... I tried to call my vet just to find out the state board took away his rights to be a vet...
Brittney B. replied:
Dr. Dodson is who I entrust with my Fiona. And her staff is amazing as well. I accidentally called another vet in Angleton thinking it was Angleton Veterinary Clinic and they woman who answered had a tone that instantly made me question who they were, their location, and of course because I am me, why she was in the business of helping people help their pets if she was so obviously annoyed by answering a phone....

Becky G. replied:
Dr. Dodson is great with all medical needs, but she's also knowledgeable about behavioral issues. She will approach your animals appropriately and can give great advice on handling.
Pat W. replied:
Faith & Healing w/Dr. Carter is by far the best in Brazoria County! She has cared for my 5 dogs, 3 cats & her associate, Dr. Novak cared for my guinea pig, parrot & 6' iguana. Dr. Carter has taken my dogs home with her to care for! I wish my doctor was as wonderful as she us. Her staff are angels, every one of them!!!
I am looking for a recommendation for a vet that will put a family dog to sleep for a very reasonable price. She is a 9 yr old rat terrier and we would like to be with...
Pat W. replied:
Faith & Healing took care of all mine & in the last two years there have been two dog & one cat. Dr. Carter-Smith & staff have the most compassion of any vets I've ever known. I did cremation for all & received little plaster mementos of the dogs footp rints with their names on them. Prices are reasonable & they can discuss different options. I would trust no one else & you can stay with them & they have a room where you can grieve & compose yourself afterwards. Sorry you must face this but you are doing the right humane thing! Prayers for your family!

Pat W. replied:
Frances, I have had 3 put to sleep in the last two years at Faith & Healing. Dr. Carter always asked if I wanted to be in the room. She is the most compassionate vet I've ever known & I've had many animals in my 50 years! She gives you several choices, cremation or burial by them or if you wish to take your baby home for burial. I use cremation & Dr. Carter makes a plaster imprint of your baby's paw for you to remember them by. She even shed tears when we put down my poodle because she loved her so much! 979-265-5511. Talk to Makaya for cost & options,
Amber M. replied:
My suggestion is to make sure they will allow you to be with them. If they don't it's because they do not do the sedative before the shot that kills them which means they are awake and can become very afraid. I was told by a vet that I could not go back with my Grandmas dog because "sometimes it gets messy". That's when I asked about the sedative and was told they didn't give it so they could "keep cost down" although they were more expensive. I took her to Huebners office and they even came out to the car so my grandma could hold her. I bet Faith and Healing would be good also. I believe it was $60 at Dr Huebner if you take your pet home to bury.
Lindsey C. replied:
There's nothing wrong with how you feel about your situation, you've done so much already:) I think you should call Brazoswoods Vet Clinic, they're all very nice. But I've never had an animal put down there so just call and ask.
