Hi, we're new to the area. Any recs for a dentist, family/internal medicine doctor, and pediatrician not too far from Brookfield?
Teresa B. replied:
Dental Loft in downtown LaGrange.
Lisa A. replied:
We go to FGM and love Dr Freed
Aileen G. replied:
Dr. Heidi Novack DDS (6686 Joliet Rd, Countryside, IL 60525) (708) 784-0400 SHE IS WONDERFUL!!!
Samantha B. replied:
I second Dr. Martin, he is great with kids and adults. His staff is also amazing!
Karen A. replied:
Hinsdale Peds is awesome! Love them there!
Haley C. replied:
Hinsdale pediatrics is amazing. Brush pediatric dentistry (across the hall from Hinsdale peds) is the most amazing dentist ever. Dr. Tomecki (Brookfield family doctors) advancements in dental in Brookfield, have also gone to dentist Todd Martin, but he had to refer out for two procedures both of which advancements in dental could do. Nice guy tho, good for routine care
Maya S. replied:
For a dentist we see dr. Baptist at aloha dental in north riverside (http://m.alohadental.com/welcome.aspx) he has a great chair side manner with my two kids and has been seeing them since they were two years old. He also speaks Spanish fluently if that is needed.
Dolores B. replied:
Dentist, Brookfield Smiles on Ogden, off Prarie Ave, Dr. Sabrina F. Riverside Family Practice, specializes in women & children, including family practice..
Teri S. replied:
Dr Dan Lienbauer across from the middle school. Great office staff and great care, been going there for years! Also just recently changed peds to Dr Gruzka at FGP pediatrics, 442 7979. Wish I had found her sooner, very patient with the kids and complete.
Liz G. replied:
Dr. Girgis in Western Springs for dentistry. Hinsdale Pediatrics, 911 Elm in Hinsdale.
Cindy J. replied:
Dr. Gerald Gardner, Creative Dental, Grand Boulevard - the finest!
Lisa H. replied:
We see Dr. Todd Martin for dentist in Brookfield http://www.drtoddmartindds.com/ We use Loyola Family Medicine on Roosevelt in Maywood for our peds and family practice and love them and they are great with appointments especially with multiple kids and scheduling nights and weekends
Scott C. replied:
For a dentist, I use Dr. Jourdan on Grand next to the Sanctuary. Kind of a small place, but I like going to someone I can have a conversation with, never feels like I'm being rushed to cram as many patients in as possible.
Jeffrey E. replied:
Creative Dental; been going to Dr Gardner for over 20 years; he's excellent
Karen D. replied:
Dr. Tomeci
Pam K. replied:
We also go to Hinsdale Peds and Brush Dental. They are both amazing! Brush is awesome!
Gaby V. replied:
Agree with everyone else FGM. I miss Dr. Malhes, but others in the practice are excellent
Hi all - I am looking at changing my daughters' (ages 4 & 6) doctor to someone near Riverside. Any recommendations from the group (even negative feedback is welcomed)....
Charles C. replied:
Not sure who you already have but you could try LaGrange Pediatrics. The doctors are great and so is the staff. (708)588-0088 Hope it helps.
Cristin E. replied:
I had both kids at Loyola and we've taken them to Loyola Outpatient on 1 st. ever since. Dr. Stirling is our primary pediatrician, and he is outstanding, but we've seen them all over the years and they are all great. In addition, they have a 24-hour mommy line, which I just used last week when John had croup. They also have a walk in clinic in Burr Ridge that's open evenings til 10 p.m. and weekends.
Cristin E. replied:
Only downside to the Outpatient Center is you have to pay to park. I see my own doc (Dr. Steele) at the North Riverside location and it's free (next to Goodwill).
Lauren C. replied:
My two daughters have been going to Dr. Mary Ellen Gruszka on 22 nd in N. Riverside since they were very young. She is very thorough, returns phone calls and never feels like she's rushing you out the door. Her number is 708-442-7979 - FGM Pediatrics. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
Elizabeth B. replied:
We user Pedios in Oak Park, specifically Dr. Heather Haukness, although we really like Dr. Rebecca Turk as well. Love the doctors and LOVE the nurses.
Paige F. replied:
We have had a myriad of doctors through Loyola, and have been very fortunate. We also see Dr. Stirling, whom I like very much. One thing i like a lot is that our doctors all communicated well with one another (we have seen a handful of specialists over the years). The one potential downside is, at a teaching hospital, you will frequently have longer appointments because an intern (resident?) will see your child before the dr.
Stephania P. replied:
My kids go to Dr. Freed at FGM Pediatrics, but have seen all of the Dr's in the practice over the years and we have liked them all. The office is very close on 22 nd in North Riverside.
Can anyone recommend a nearby pediatrician who is experienced with acid reflux babies?
Pam K. replied:
I agree with Marcey. We go to Hinsdale Peds as well. We see Dr. Lisa Franco. She is wonderful.
Marcey K. replied:
I go to Hinsdale Pediatrics. Love the drs! My oldest son had severe reflux due to prematurity (born at 24 weeks). He also saw Dr. Eileen Mahoney (ENT) his first year and just went back to see her (age 10). She is awesome! GOod luck!
Nancy D. replied:
Dr. Julie O'Keefe at Loyola North Riverside was great with my oldest who had horrible silent reflux. She trusts moms
Kelly O. replied:
Fgm in riverside. Dr. Ramana. Both mykids had it.
Maria A. replied:
Dr. Marc Freed(708) 442-7979FGM Pediatrics in North Riverside All three of my kids had different tummy issues as babies. My youngest had severe reflux from birth. Dr. Freed is wonderful. I have stayed with him for 28 years.
Lisa A. replied:
We love Dr Freed too! My son is 8 months old and has been seeing him since day 1!
Clara D. replied:
I invite you to ask this question on the new group- Flourishing Families of the Western Suburbs (mainly RB and LaGrange). A lot of families with very young children may be able to help you out!
