So excited for tomorrow! So many wonderful people, Cant wait to share the memories and see everyone. Need a photographer, cause I'm gonna want to gab. Numbers are...
Yup they are family/ People who never worked there can never understand. Working and growing up with a small community hospital is a treasure many cant not understand. I had my ears pierced in the ER for my birthday when i was young lol, my mom bought the ear rings in the gift shop and think it was Dr Tamase who pierced them with a 16 gauge needle. I remember sitting on the old wooden bench outside the old ER when emergencys coming in and watching the nurses run around thinking I want to do that one day. Also sitting on the steps going into the lobby and seeing the nurses come in with their blue capes was breath taking to me, Remember the operators in the lobby plugging in the phone calls?
Cynthia W. replied:
My mom covered for the operators when the were across from the cafeteria. I remember decorating 2W for the Christmas season. Had time to actually do that, get the work done, and get to know my coworkers. Always stopped in and chatted with the redcoats too. They were great men. I remember someone did a drawing with Mr. Tyler and some of them pushing a stretcher with captions. Wonder what happened to that. It hung in their call room. Gotta go! I'll try to get back for more later.
Cynthia W. replied:
Oh and all staff smoking in the nursing lounge. Dr. Murphy lighting up as he came out of the OR.
Peggy K. replied:
Dr Hernberg passed away several years ago. I talked to Drs. Goldstein and Romisher. Unfortunately they will not be able to attend.
Melissa F. replied:
Omg you two are bringing back so many memories. I loved Dr. tamase, and I do think your right about the pipe tobacco my father smoked the same and I could always smell it when Dr. Robbins would come in. He was an inspiration .
Bonnie P. replied:
Yup Dr Tamase, and Dr Trinada and there was another one, Tamase wasnt only and ER doc but a surgeon I believe ... oh and Dr Gomez was another one
