Well I can tell you from my own experience that All Childrens has a year waiting list. Now if your PC calls directly then you can get it. And it is case by case. I was having problems with adult doctors taking pediatric cases. Most will not take anyone under 16. My daughter is 14 and we have been dealing with it for almost 3 years now. I go to Dr. Smith at USF right now until we can get back to All Childrens. Just remain calm. You will want to beat your head against the wall if your child is under 16. I went through the JRA foundation to find doctors close to us. Right now there is only 5-6 in the state that take true pediatric cases. We also ran into the problem that adult doctors want to treat with medications. Most of these medications are very harmful for children. Let me know if you need anything. If your child has a positive RH factor, please make sure you keep up with their eye exams. We go every 6 months.
