I used to have DrLiberato, she is good but... My son had a cough for months and "they" (pediatric health care alliance) couldn't figure out what it was!! I switched to Dr Smith My First Doctor and Immediately she was able to figure out the problem! The office is not pretty but the staff and the doctor are amazing!!

Now I do love Dr.Thole at Weecare as well and Evie her Arnp my son started of with them as a new born and I was distraught when we had to switch due to insurance.

I give another vote for Premier Care Pediatrics. I see Dr. Pruitt there. It is in Fishhawk. They came highly recommended when I was pregnant and didn't know where to go. Dealing with my son very sick with Croup now. They got me an appointment right away when I called on Thursday. Today I had to call on call doctor and Dr Pruitt herself was on call and called me back in less than 5 minutes and called in a prescription for me to pharmacy. Love them!

We love Dr. Bowers at Pediatric Healthcare Alliance. All three (soon to be 4) of our kids go to her.

We use My First Doctor - Dr Smith - who is on Big Bend near Summerfields. She is great because she will try to fit you in even if she is fully booked. We originally registered with the pediatric Alliance, and the first time i had to book in urgently for my baby with a severe throat infection, I was told that the nearest appointment was in four days time. I explained the urgency ... infection and young baby ... but I was told that all I could do was go to another branch that was miles away.

My eldest went to Creative World on US41 and we were very happy with them. I didn't like the fact that KidsRKids made us pay to be on their waiting list but still wouldn't guarantee a place at the end of it. I have heard some very good things from friends about the new Montessori in Waterset.

Dr. Bowers is the best!! My daughter just loves to see her. Takes her time with the kids and is very caring!!

I used Pediatric Health Care Alliance on Parsons in Brandon over a period of 25 years which covered two children. Wouldn't have gone anywhere else.

I use to go to DR Liberato too, while she is good and I did love her....insurance reasons I left. I go to dr. Smith now, and she just caught brohnchitis in 3 week cough that an urgent care did not.

If you don't mind the 25 min. drive, Healthpoint Pediatrics in south Tampa-been going there for 11 years. They are amazing! I won't take my daughter anywhere else. Dr. Salud is our fave but they have other amazing doctors as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I agree .. the office is small ... and doesn't have any toys for kids ... just a TV with a Disney film playing ... and you can wait 30 mins in the waiting room on a busy day as she is the only doctor in there. However ... she has always been absolutely amazing ... came to the hospital for the birth of my son ..... he was preemie and had some early breathing issues, so she gave me her personal cell number and said that I could call her anytime in those first few weeks out of hospital. She has always fitted us in even on full days. She even stayed open late on her half day Saturday waiting for me to get there after a last minute call. She is sweet and lovely and never ever derogatory or judgmental on how you raise your child. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr Smith (just don't let the waiting room sway your judgement) xxxx

My first Pediatrician years ago was just like this office/dr. Loved it. So friendly knew my kids by name, I miss here, but I feel like Dr Smith is a high possibility of standing next to my first one!

Kathy Knight Jones is the best in home daycare you can find! It's very rare that she has an opening but it's worth a shot. She is the best of the best!

Dr. Heather Thole in Riverview (813.236.9000) is very respectful on a parents choice. she NEVER pushes vaccines at all. we have newly decided not to vax and she doesn't even mention it. if you can affford the out of pocket expense Dr. David Berger ($400/hour) is hands-down the best option. however, Dr. Thole will take insurance, so....

We left Dr. Jackson and ended up happy as clams with Dr. Berger. Worth every penny.

We did NOT enjoy Dr Jackson's office but dr Berger is great.

Pediatric health care alliance is amazing and answers all new mom questions and I found out last weekend that they are open in Brandon - Sat and Sunday:) we use the Riverview office - Dr Liberato and my 14 month old loves her - she also pierces ears there too!!

Sherry, we also have United Healthcare and just had to change pediatricians. Kelly recommended Pediatric Healthcare Alliance on Parsons. Presley sees Dr. Joseman, we like her.. they also have evening hours til 10 pm. Good luck I hope our insurance don't do this again as we have to change enough because of moving.

Great expressions is ok! I worked there for 13 years went thru several Company names, changed hands a lot. The dentist I worked for are not there any longer however, at the FH location I believe that Dr. Seahoffer is still there and she is super nice. For Pediatrics please check out If you haven't already Dr. Abdoney or Dr.Carr. Good luck with your search. Picking new Dr's is always tough.

Would never go back to Dr. Gonzalez. He did completely UNNECCESSARY work on my 5 year old(many years ago) and wanted to put a crown on my 3 year old's tooth. Don't trust them and I've heard that from other people as well.

Yes, I am looking for a pediatric dentist. My kids are under a dental plan that I am finding out is not widely accepted. In an earlier post, Dr. Gonzalez was not at all recommended and neither is Great Expressions! I may just have to bite the bullet and drive to one! Thanks everyone!

Pediatric Healthcare Alliance is great. I've seen many of the doctors and they are caring and knowledgeable. They also have great evening hours and weekend hours/emergency visits and are great about getting you in there when you need them. Tyler's been going to the one up here since he was an infant.

Dr Garcia is my nephews doctor. He's only had one visit but he did a good job of informing them on things to expect and tips as new parents.
