Laura Bott at Cobello is fantastic, she is fully trained in chocolate waxing which is a lot less painful than standard wax, so you have a choice of either wax with her

Probably the best collection of old Milnrow photos is held by Milnrow Literary and Scientific Society. Alternatively, the Local Studies Library at Touchstones has a great collection too. I have seen old photos there of various fancy Milnrow Urban District Council parties/balls/dos, etc. Perhaps some of these were held at the Reform Club? My late grand-dad told me it used to have its own bowling club, with a green round the back, on Delph Street.

A meeting of the newly formed Milnrow & Newhey Catholic Association was held on February 22 nd 1937. At that meeting it was decided to use the room at Milnrow Reform Club as a Chapel of Ease. The first Mass was celebrated on April 11 th 1937. by Father Paddy Watterson, then a curate at St. John's in Rochdale.
