It's only Cat Care and Dr. Thoms for us! It may be expensive, but aren't our pets our "children" or best friends? Dr. Thoms called me on Sunday morning to check on my cat one time. Who does that anymore?? He's the best!

Oakland Animal Hospital in downtown Rochester for cats and dogs. Been there for decades! I've taken my cats there for 30 years, and the doctors are always fantastic. There's an emergency vet hospital across the street from them, also.
Laurie C. replied:
We love Animal Advocates. They are in Troy though. Long lake and Rochester Rd. 248-524-8000. I highly recommend them!

Rochester Vet hospital on crooks is the best.
Susan M. replied:
Donaldson Animal Hospital on Lapeer Road, just north of Silver Bell across from Home Depot. I had a bad experience with an associate vet at a popular practice others have already named. The vet wrote me a lengthy letter and accused me of being neglectful when a dog who was temporarily in my care ripped out a claw while trying to get out of her crate. This, after the practice had already seen my other dogs who lived to be 15 and 17 years. Even though that dog was suppose to only be temporary, it's 7 years later, she's still with me. Donaldson doesn't seek the most expensive treatment, and when check-ups were needed to just monitor healing, they didn't charge me every single visit.

Goodison Vet Clinic on Orion Rd. Known the doctors and staff a long time and thank them for a house full of healthy happy pets. Great people on the staff and the clinic is a clean and impressive facility. They also have a day care and grooming service.
Does anyone know of a good Vet that will come to the Imlay City area?

April K. replied:
I love Dr. Margaret but always unavailable because she has no back up. I still use her but 2 weeks waiting. I'm currently using Metamora but yesterday I didn't like how I was treated. Michelle DeSelm I thought that was just an emergency place?
Michelle D. replied:
Blue Water Equine is also a regular Vet Clinic. They have a program called "The Wellness Program" and I normally sign up for it yearly. It includes all the visit, vaccines (spring & fall), an exam, and teeth floating. I'm sure if you had a large volume of horses it wouldn't be cost efficient, but since I have only two it works out well.
