Ethical Home Loans, I know two people who got loans through them, I personally spoke with Paul, though never got a loan in the end. Great company, responsive and Paul was super friendly. I also noticed they donated quite a bit to the Cat Haven, which they don't advertise as far as i know. http://www.ethicalhomeloans.com.au/

Avoid mortgage brokers that are owned by banks. For instance Aussie Home Loans are owned by CBA and, surprise surprise, in the Royal Commission it was revealed that the majority of loans they signed people up for were with CBA.

There's really no need. No broker will get you a rate lower than the ~3.59% HSBC is offering straight out of the box.

I've had great success with Jim and Julia Blacker from Mortgage Choice.

My last loan was through Jess at Seed Financial. I liked her because she listened to what I wanted, found me exactly what I asked for and got me a great deal. https://www.seedfinancial.com.au/

You don't need a mortgage broker but you will need a settlement agent and I would strongly recommend Roleystone Settlements (http://roleystonesettlements.com.au/) - just a small family outfit but by far the most competent party in several real estate transactions I've dealt with.

I used Steve Sims from mortgage choice. Absolute professional. Very good in explaining any charges involved, application process and progress. He was accommidaring in meeting me at times and locations suitable for me

I had a good experience with Michael Harris https://www.perthmortgagespecialist.com.au although his website looks a bit like he’s over-selling himself, he was very friendly and pleasant to work with (not pushy!) - also he discloses his commission on all of the loan options. He was able to get the pre-approval we wanted across the line which was a little complicated because of how some of my income is paid (so there was some back and forth between him and the bank) - overall I would definitely recommend him based on my experience with him

Whoever picks the phone up or answers your e-mails. I've tried to get in contact with 6 different brokers in the last few weeks, one has responded.

I went with Habitat Finance, in South Perth. They got us a decent deal, were really helpful and made the whole process a lot easier.

We've been dealing with a guy the estate agent put us in touch with (Professionals High Wycombe), think he's part of their finance arm. Has been very good so far.

On the recommendation of a friend of ours we have used Monica Chan at IFMS and she has been straight talking, helpful and quick in responding to any and all of our queries. Would definitely recommend her.
For those of you that don't know yet I have started working for Pembertown Finance as a mortgage broker. I'm finally out of the FIFO game! As I am just starting out I am...
