I had a lumbar microdisectomy 2 years ago. I'm like new again. My pain was so bad I ended up in the ER twice before surgery. Dr. Connor Regan at Wake Mes was my surgeon. Best thing I ever did!! Outpatient.

Look into protherapy, if your after alternative to traditional medical approach. I spent a huge amount of time looking for a solution. I have a slip on my L4/L5. The pain use to radiate down my leg. I could not sit or stand comfortably. I complete 1/2 dozen sessions and I am 90% better. I chose this over the recommended fusion and steroid/cortisone injections that has no long term benefit. In fact these injections often weaken the the ligaments need to stabilize the spine. The doctor that provided the therapy is Dr, Ross Hauser out of the Chicago area.

Jesse at Bodywell Therapeutic Massage is great with my SI joint (same area).

Acupuncture worked wonders for me. I have 4 or 5 herniated discs in my back and the doctor told me that an epidural was my only solution, so I tried acupuncture, and it saved my life! I am currently seeing Master Choi by Crabtree Chiropractic

And if, God forbid, you had to resort to surgery Dr. Robert Lacin was wonderful.
