My husband. Ambrose Heating and Cooling. Unfortunately we are at a memorial out of country at the moment. What I can say is he is honest, affordable and does not charge after hour or weekend charges. As your issue was emergent and he wasn't available this week, I remained silent. He lives and works local. 919-766-1316

We've used Alford Mechanical for the past 10 years --- Dependable, trust worthy and reasonably priced. They always give us quick attention. (we especially like Brandon that works there) Two of our neighbors took our recommendation and have been using them for years as well. http://www.alfordmechanical.com/

Mitchell's Heating and Cooling has been great for us.
Can anyone recommend an appliance repair business that is honest and does not cost a fortune? The heating element in our dryer appears to be broken. TYVM
Cyndi S. replied:
Lyle, April is right about the thermostat. Our dryer had two thermostats (I think). They were just a few dollars each and the repair shop recommended we replace those as well. Made sense since we were going through all that work to pull the dryer out.
Cyndi S. replied:
I think it's called D&L - 919-828-0975. 2324 Atlantic Ave, Raleigh.
Lyle D. replied:
Well, before I wrestled the washer out of the cabinet, hurt myself and cuss like a navy sailor and try to fix this thing on my own I thought I would do what Deborah Davis Murray said to do and I called Tony Lambert. That was the smartest thing i did al l day. Not only did he say no need to do all that, he came out today and fixed it on the spot. He removed the front panel of the machine and changed the element in just a few minutes for a very fair price. Same day service for a fair price, thank you Tony and thank you Deborah!
April L. replied:
Cyndi Sosa is right. Our element burned up in our dryer and my boyfriend replaced it in like 5 minutes. its pretty much like a puzzle. unplug the dryer first just to be safe. I can send you a pic of what the bad element looked like if you want. What is the the dryer doing? You can order the element on amazon. it took less than a week for us to get ours. It was also about half of the cost that sears was going to charge.
Deborah M. replied:
Tony Lambert has worked on several of my appliances. Very honest. 919-413-2891 is his mobile #
Cyndi S. replied:
Lyle Davis our dryer is a front loader and access panel is on the back. The hardest part of the repair was getting the dryer out of its little space and turned sideways to be able to work on it.
April L. replied:
Sorry Lyle Davis ask a friend or family member to help that sounds rough
