Labs have a double coat, which makes the hair even worse. I would suggest a good grooming, then purchase a "furminator" grooming tool to keep up with it at home. I use and adore Animal House in Louisburg for grooming.

Please don't shave her. It's really not good for them. Daily brushing and deshedding at Dirty Dogs will help a lot. But dogs she'd and as the seasons change it's expected.

We had Dirty Dogs groom our Akita for us and were very pleased with the results and especially the service. They made an appt for us before they opened since this dog can be dog aggressive and has stranger anxiety issues. I would also recommend you buy a Furminator to brush daily at home. Best prices will be on eBay. Works wonders on our dogs, long and short haired.
