He's down in San Jose, but Andrew Soss is a great loan officer and I think you'll have a good experience working with him. You can find his Yelp page at http://www.yelp.com/biz/alpine-mortgage-planning-san-jose-2 (I am not Andrew Soss FYI, I am another loan officer down in Orange County, CA). If you want, you can let him know that "liverichly" referred you. Also, if the loan officer worked for CitiBank, then it's not a mortgage broker. CitiBank doesn't broker out loans. They only make loans themselves.

John Kay is the man. Almost 100% of his business is from referrals and there is a reason for that. 9258585626 That said, many will push for avoiding paying pmi. It is money that you will be throwing away monthly if you don't put down 20%.
