Give this place a call. I'm sure they have a very small campsite next to the pub. It 10 mins off the A20 so probably 35/45 mins from Dover and not too far out of your way :-) http://www.theploughinnstalisfield.co.uk/

It's a great festival. I show the Beetle each year there and organise our club stand. Yes, it is expensive, but there is LOADS to see and do, with good facilities. Nobby Clarke organises a stand to show campers, usually. If he does it this year and has space, as only 5 allowed per club. if not, look at the official website under 'Show Your Car' for an individual entry. they expect you to be around the show vehicles during the day to talk to the public, though. Otherwise, if not wanting to participate, go for camping tickets and then add a campervan permit, if you are lucky enough to get one as it is a bit of a lottery. If not, the local sites are good. Carfest Buddies FB site will tell you everything you need to know and is a great forum for exchanging tickets, too.
