We were in a similar situation and after some due diligence we settled on Dr. Lynette Llerena. She's part of the Millenium Physicans Group and her office is next to Englewood Hospital. We been very satisfied with her care. One plus, at least in our opinion, is if you call during business hours with an emergency her staff will do everything they can to fit you in.

Dr Seshadri is worth the drive to Port Charlotte. I was really concerned about finding one to rival what I had in ATL. Had a horrible experience with Sarasota Arthritis Group. Both myself and my partner now see Dr. Sash. Excellent care.

I have found that the problem is not in finding good doctors..it's in finding good ones who are accepting new patients. Englewood Hospital will give you names of doctors who are still accepting new pts.

Dr. Curtis Story of Story Family Medicine is amazing! He came very highly recommended to me and I recommend him highly too. He is located on Toldeo Blade on Port Charlotte. Make a right off of 776 coming from Rotonda at the RaceTrac gas station. Follow the road past the middle school..the office will be on your left in a Spanish style building called El Conquistador. Dr. Story is truly the kind of doctor that every doctor should be..he is very thorough without going overboard on tests. He is not prescription happy and truly CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS! His staff is great and when you call his office you actually talk to a human being not a multiple choice recorded menu like Millennium. Please do yourself a big favor and STAY AWAY FROM MILLENNIUM DOCTORS. DR. Story takes a lot of time with his patients and doesn't overbook his office schedule. He answers his own phone after hours too! I am very very pleased with Dr. Curtis Story of Story Family Medicine.

I work for an insurance co and with what I’ve seen I choose not use Millennium. I personally use & highly recommend Dr. Donald Robertson and he is located at Tiffany Square in Englewood FL (across from Walmart). He also has a walk in clinic connected to his office & while you may wait a bit I think is fantastic for when folks don’t have an appointment but need to be seen that day for more pressing matters vs scheduled appointments.

I see surgeries from all the orthopedic surgeons in the area and from my experience two surgeons stand out to be the best. Ed Stolarski with Kennedy White Orthopedic in Sarasota. He has a reputation of being the best of the best Jason Reiss with advanced orthopedics. Definitely the best in Port Charlotte area.

I had severe plantar fasciitis, and saw Dr Arlo Yaege, with offices in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. 941-627-5161. Many of the suggestions proffered here can be successful elements of a program to give you relief. But I would encourage you to see a doctor rather than self dealing. Good luck!

I like Dr Barbara Buckley in Englewood or PC. I've had to many injections by others and even therapy. She prescribed a topical no one else ever spoke of. 8 hours of relief at a time. Only other option is surgery. Plantar fasciitis with a bone spur is diagnosis. Therapy was a joke. Hit my insurance $400 A visit and had me do stretches off the internet.

I suffered from plantar fasciitis for months and recently healed. bought a pair of oofos original flip flops which are made out of a squishy foam and they have great arch support. After a month of wearing them full time; literally full time, even around the house, the plantar fasciitis is gone! They are expensive - $45 a pair, but so worth it if you have foot problems. And they are super cute too! You can buy them on Amazon but someone sells them in their booth at Funkie Junkies in Punta Gorda. There is a whole wall of different colors and the lady decorated them with cute little medallions; sea turtles, sand dollars etc. I’ll post a pic

Dr Marrs in Sarasota! My nasal passages were completely blocked with polyps. He gave me meds to try to shrink them first before we went straight to surgery. It worked! I went in for a follow up and he said they were all gone...completely! Now we tackle the allergies that originally caused them so they don't come back. This guy and his staff is 100% in my book. Very quick to get in to, very thorough, and he knows what he's doing!
