Shawn, I hear what you're saying, but my point is that if someone is not willing to take this path of healing seriously without it being supported by formal medical or even naturopathic authorities, then this might not be the right path for them. There are many naturopathic doctors that you can find, but few of them specifically use and fully embrace Ehret's Mucusless Diet Healing System and Rational Fasting methods. I'm the only practitioner I know of that specifically focuses on Mucusless Diet consultations and coaching at this time (http://www.mucusfreelife.com/mucusless-coaching/), and I have worked with cases similar to your friend's. The only practitioner I personally endorse for chronic illness is Dr. Morse, who I do not think is seeing new patients right now. To my knowledge there is no other practitioners whose chronic illness methodologies are aligned as closely with Ehret. My point is, there are certainly folks out here that can help, but they will probably not be in the socially accepted form of "medical doctor" and your friend would have to be open-minded enough to get help from someone not directly connected with the established system we've been conditioned to respect. Update.....I ended up going to Med Express. Yes, it does cost $120.00 upfront to be seen. Had to have X-rays so that will be another charge of around $115.00 which they will bill me. I am just glad I know what it is and I got the diagnoses when I went. Turns out it is a bone spur.

You can try Epiphany Health in the Bobcat Village. Its a great place for people that dont have health insurance or really high deductibles.
