The biggest New England event I know about, is Brimfield mass every year, Little over an hour, outside of Sturbridge mass. At least twice a year. http://brimfieldshow.org/

yeah, they can be pricey. You can find some good deals at the Salvation Army on Rt. 1 if looking for funtiture, but that is hit or miss. The summer is a much better time to bargain hunt at yard sales and such. Also, craigslist.

Todd Farm Flea Market in Rowley is amazing, huge, lots of dealers, and usually cheap! Unfortunately it's closed for the season right now, usually starts up again in April! If you don't know this one then definitely add it to your list!
