Welbeck estates brass band Geof Geof Benson is the conductor and on Facebook really friendly band no politics thank goodness and Geof offers fantastic tuition for everyone. They practice at the education rooms on welbeck which is a few hundred yards from welbeck garden centre and practice Mondays and Wednesday. Contact Geof as he will give you the exact times

Whitwell Brass Monday and Thursday 7.15 pm and Whitwell Community Training Bands (Saturdays 9.30 - 11) are a family of bands based at Whitwell community Centre that caters for any players of all ages and abilities. Helen, I'm sure you would all be welcome at Shirland Miners Welfare Band .We have a training band who incidentally are looking for a Kit player and a main band, currently in the 2 nd section who are looking for Cornet players. The main band practice on Wednesday nights 7.30 till 9.30 and the training band practice Thursday nights 7 till 8.15.Come and have a look.
