It's official! Well, it's official. My family will be moving to Saint John next month! We just purchased a house on the east end, and we are very excited about it. We've...

Congrats and welcome. Atlantic Superstore offers grocery delivery last I checked. Also Dans Country Market and On the Vine (neighborhood grocers) both do delivery as well I think. Take-out wise your options are kind of limited. Most pizza and a few Chinese places will do delivery, and there are a handful of restaurants on the Skip the Dishes app.

Other people have already answered your questions, but wanted to say congrats and welcome! We moved here from Ontario 3 years ago, sight unseen, and bought a house on the west side. We love it, best decision we have ever made!

Most places will throw your order in a cab for you, but it's not the cheap option. Costco is doing delivery too, FYI. re: the fence, look up what the code is, build inside the code and ask for forgiveness if anyone calls you on it.

‘Skip the dishes’ works in SJ I believe

Sounds great! You will enjoy Saint John. The people are really nice and friendly.

1 - Skip the dishes is a pretty decent app, and is usually cheaper than the delivery services around town. That said, unless you're deep into the suburbs of the east side, it'd probably be cheaper to just get takeout. I'm not quite certain about the grocery deliveries, but I do now there is a service available, since they use frequent my workplace.
2 - No clue, y'might want to talk to a contractor, or your real-estate agent.
3 - The closest grocery stores are probably going to be Sobeys and Superstore, but further on the east end is On The Vine, a really good grocers for fresh produce and meat. The east end has Rothesay Avenue, which has a huge selection of restaurants for you to go to, most of them open for dine-in, my favorites being Splash and Thai Express. I'm not too certain about local sights, but I do know there's a few specialty gyms in the area, like the rock-climbing gym. I'd tell you to visit Cherry Brook Zoo, but they shut down permanently because of Covid...

Welcome! Around where in the East End are you? I’m in Lakewood Heights and used instacart for a bit but it was expensive. Skip the dishes is also not always available in my area (driver proximity maybe?). Door dash is also available. On The Vine had delivery at one point when they were not open for in store shopping, maybe call them and ask if they are still doing it? They had cheap delivery, and their prices are really good.

English is pretty low here - a lot of people say they know Arabic, but it appears to be limited to being able to read the Arabic in the Qur'an, not able to speak. I would say, ya, try out your Turkish. I think you have a lot of the big stuff covered. Maybe head over to Taksim and walk up and down İstiklal. Check out Galata tower / bridge.

For vegetarian restaurants, check out the recommendations [here](http://www.timeoutistanbul.com/en/fooddrink/article/2660/Best-vegetarian-eats). Most Turkish restaurants have a lot of vegetarian options with their meze.
Can anyone recommend a nice RESTAURANT in East Saint John. Nothing fancy, just nice. Boston Pizza, Montanas and Marios don't count. Thanks.
