My wife and I got her ring from Filigree Jewelers. She loves the ring, it is a restored Art Deco ring, and the sales team there were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend them for that vintage style ring.

I highly recommend Shane Co on 394/Wayzata Blvd. I bought a diamond online from Blue Nile and then had them out it in a ring. Saved me a fair chunk of change. I recommend checking out that route. That said, for the actual ring, I encourage you to take the gang to Shane Co.

Arthur's Jewelers in Roseville. Family & locally owned, great selection, beautiful showroom. We've purchased about 5 pieces of jewelry there and have been really happy with the experience each time. They do custom pieces too.

I went to Charlemagne on Grand in St. Paul (near Kowalski's); they design and make jewelry so they either will have something appropriate in stock (what I bought), may be able to modify something that's close, or could fabricate something entirely new. I've been very happy with the way they run their business. It's not typically the least expensive store in town, but they know their stuff. Their dog mascots (Piper & Darby) are cool, too. No other relationship with the company other than as a happy customer. But you really should go, even if just for the experience.

Absolutely happy with Van Guilder's in Edina at 50 th and France. Family run (I believe), and Lisa took care of me and helped me so much with decisions, and worked hard to find a design the matched what I had in mind.
