also you may want to call the electricians union office in San Mateo and ask them for home/residential contractors ....here is there website .....http://www.ibew617.com/ ......also once you get a few estimates Debbie check out with bbb.... yelp and places like that to see their work history .....

Here's the challenge Debbie. If it's true, move. Fixing yours will not save your house from the fire that happens to your next door neighbor's house that set's yours on fire. However, if it is true and you have to stay, check HUD.gov for low interest home repair/improvement loans. There are some out there that are even loans that get forgiven after 5 years or so I think.

Just found out that my insurance covers the entire job and deductable!!! YAY!!! No thanks to the HOA...:( Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and electricians!!! I now have honest electricians I can call:) Love FB it puts us all in touch especially when we are in dire need:)
