Any jeweler recommendations for an engagement ring? Hi r/bayarea! This is a throwaway in case a certain someone is too curious for her own good. I'm getting ready to tie...

My dad got his at Brilliant Earth and from what it sounds like, he had a great experience and the prices were pretty good. And the ring was absolutely beautiful! Best of luck!

I got my fiance's engagement ring from Kavita Malaviya at Emkay Diamonds. She was incredibly helpful, carried a wide variety of designers, and was willing to source a lab-grown diamond (important for us), and a pleasure to work with. My husband had mine made at The Jewel Box in downtown Campbell. They have stuff on-site and can also make things custom. Do not go to Giovanna's in Mountain View. They did a custom ring for me that was so poorly done I had to pay the Jewel Box $175 to fix it for me.

Can't go wrong with shaneco on Stevens creek!

[Vardy's Jewelers](http://www.vardys.com) in Cupertino for sure. Great custom jewelry, and super-friendly too.

Joe Escobar in Campbell, definitely, if you insist on buying in person.

Steven at Ware Jewelry in Lafayette has taken *extremely* good care of me through the process of making a custom ring with a lot of prototypes along the way! The man is a master of the "lost wax" arts! That said, just like with any other jeweler you should *definitely* negotiate a better price than the initial quote.

Dunno if Geoffrey's Diamonds is still around in San Carlos but he did a great job of resetting my badly done wedding ring and did some nice custom work for me. Plus he and his staff are the silliest, funniest people I've ever encountered in the jewelry business.

Déjà & Co. in Saratoga- we got my engagement ring and our wedding bands there. I'll try to post a picture later tonight. The whole staff is super friendly and helpful (it's a small store, but they have a great selection), and Paul gave us a great deal on all three rings. My husband wasn't sure he wanted to wear a wedding ring at all, but Paul helped him find one that's comfortable, durable and looks almost as good as mine :) They have a great variety of styles in the store, from classic to totally unique. Plus, they throw Sip and Sparkle parties for your fiancée-to-be and her bridal party!

We had a great experience at Spitz in Walnut Creek. My wife's engagement ring was purchased from their estate stock (~80 years old) and they did an amazing job matching the wedding band to it. Nobody believes they are not a match set.
