I've had good luck with [Shreve & Co](http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/shreve-and-co-san-francisco-2). Call their service desk first and ask if they still do appraisals. A useful distinction to know is whether you're having the jewelry evaluated for resale, or for insurance reasons--for replacement value. Good luck!:)
