Looking for dog friendly campground in/near San Diego We've been combing the internet but it's been difficult finding a tent site campground that's close to the beach....

Hmmm....not sure that this exists. We've done quite a bit of camping with our dog, but it's all been on BLM land (read: no amenities) and nothing close to the beach. SD County has a website with a few campsites which I'm sure you've already found, but our approach has always been to find something in "Afoot and Afield in San Diego County" and find a hike that is dog-friendly and allows backpackers...then head out and find a suitable location. But this is probably not what you're looking for. Not dog-friendly but recommended for car camping: Guadalupe Canyon in Mexico. I'm sure you COULD bring your dog but not sure about getting it back across the border afterward.

If you're looking for something that is easy access to the beach as in say a few hundred feet or less in a straight line you're pretty much out of luck. The majority of camp grounds are all on the cliffs and require a pretty good trek down to get to the beach. Good thing is they have well maintained steps. They're also pretty much parking lot spots... even the tent ones. The only place I know of is on Camp Pendleton and you need to be really careful where you camp as to not have the tide get you. You also need to be military or with military to camp there last I knew. All campgrounds are pet friendly but not all beaches are. You'll need to call them up and ask as the campgrounds are separate from the beaches.

RV stops in Loreto. Loreto Shores probably the easiest. Plenty of signs as you head into town. Dentist in Loteto that I use is Dr Ramos on Ayumiento. Phone 619-135-2484. Hwy 1 has a number of "work around" currently but road crews are making progress. Might be a bit tough for the trailer until the bridge is rebuilt or the path through the arroyo has been smoothed a bit.
Does anyone know of any grocery stores in/around Rosarito that deliver?

Michelle Campbell-Scott Sorry, the on-line shopping thing is funny. You're not in the US anymore. Try this. Necesito ayuda. No tenemos comida. ¿Puedes ayudarme ir a una tienda para comprar mandados? Te puedo dar dinero para gasolina. At worst. Copy it down and hand it to a Mexican neighbor. The English version: I need help. We don't have any food. Can you help me go to a store to buy food. I can give you money for the gas.
Planning a 3 month road trip and will be in LaPaz around early February for several days. Can anyone recommend any campgrounds for our 31ft motor home ???
