I make this all the time. It's also my Go-to meal for friends who just had babies. Full of protein, easy to make, so good. Serve with avocado and lime. http://damndelicious.net/2014/04/09/one-pan-mexican-quinoa/?m

If you like English speaking most places Los Barriles on the Sea of Cortez side and Todo Santos on the Pacific side. If you like Mexico, La Paz is the place to be.

Anyone interested in or know anyone intersted in taking over a downtown loft? Lease ends in July, you can rent for a few months or extend your lease for another year....

My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood and we love it! But seriously where is the closest good sized grocery store?!?
Marie P. replied:
There is a new produce stand that opened on 14 th Ave in South Park Food Center called La Fruteria Sandoval. The Red Apple is actually ok, I would guess it is less robustly stocked than others bc of uninviting walking / biking connections to a large part of an already small neighborhood. I'm actually pleasantly surprised everytime I go in that they stock as much as they do on what I'm sure is a limited amount of cash flow Hopefully the neighborhood will support these places and they'll be able to grow! I think probably the Safeway in White Center is the closest big grocery store.
Randy W. replied:
South Park has MANY groceries within 15 - 30 minutes by car or bus. 1. Red Apple on Des Moines Memorial Way, or 2. the Thriftway a bit further south. 3. QFC in Westwood Village. White Center has 6+ amazing ethnic groceries mostly along 14th/15th Ave SW b/t Roxbury and SW 100th: 4. Hung Long grocery 5. Angkor Market 6. Samway on 15th 7. New Golden Village and Queen's Deli 8. Carniceria El Paisano Mexican Market & butcher 9. Saars Super saver 10. Also Bartells in White Center has some food items at good prices, 11. and over in Georgetown there is the wondeful Carlton Avenue Grocery (on Carlton at S Warsaw). And there is the South Park Food Center at the south end of 14th, for those quick tide-you-over items. Many have a Google or Yelp page, and maybe a facebook page. I do feel grateful to have such awesome food sources so relatively closeby.

Cabo Pet Hospital has a good selection and if they don’t have what you need they will definitely be able to point you in the right direction. I would start there and see what happens. Might save you time and energy. Best of luck.

Michelle Campbell-Scott Sorry, the on-line shopping thing is funny. You're not in the US anymore. Try this. Necesito ayuda. No tenemos comida. ¿Puedes ayudarme ir a una tienda para comprar mandados? Te puedo dar dinero para gasolina. At worst. Copy it down and hand it to a Mexican neighbor. The English version: I need help. We don't have any food. Can you help me go to a store to buy food. I can give you money for the gas.
I an trying to get some general information on living in Punta Banda, such as where to grocery shop, is there good internet, etc. If someone can please help me, please...
Ron H. replied:
Most do their grocery shopping at the Calimax out at the turnoff or in town at Ensenada at Costco. Internet service varies from good to very bad, based on where you choose to live and internet provider. More info here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/puntabanda/
