Do all you can to have your refrigerator declared a loss, and get anything else (except GE). Samsung appliances are the worst across the board. Full stop. If you must repair, I’ve had Bills of Tiburon work on my ice maker. I think it was about $175 service call. He came back the next day and only charged me materials for $65 water valve

Appliances usually come with a warranty. Now the warranty won't cover your situation, but it will certainly have a repair company behind it that can give you a quote. By the way, your electrical problem sounds like a brownout. Pretty common in places with older wiring, unfortunately.

Have an electrician check the main panel for damage as well as all sub panels

The motherboard in my fridge died and I replaced it myself with parts from the supply in Soma (on 10 th & Harrison?). Cost was about 300 with core return. Put your fridge model number into YouTube for repair walkthroughs.
