I'm looking for advice about the best bicycle insurance options out there. What are your experiences with different companies, plans, and coverage? I own an entry level...
Bill C. replied:
Some more info I found this morning: If you own an expensive bike, consider purchasing a floater. This will provide more coverage than a homeowners or renters policy. For instance, in the event of an accident, a floater covers the cost of bike repairs. A floater costs approximately $9 for every $100 of the bike's value and there are no deductibles. https://www.travelers.com/personal-insurance/renters-insurance/bike-theft.aspx
Mike S. replied:
For what its worth: "Standard renters and home insurance policies limit coverage on expensive sports equipment, so if you buy an expensive bike worth thousands of dollars, talk to your insurance agent about purchasing an endorsement to provide additional coverage for the bicycle." from http://www.insure.com/home-insurance-faq/does-renters-insurance-cover-stolen-bikes.html
Mike S. replied:
Also note that most renters insurance doesn't cover bikes that expensive. I have heard good things about https://velosurance.com
hi does anyone know if there is there a gym in sarina that has day care facilities available?
Vicky C. replied:
They have a Facebook page...or you can call them on 49 564 210. Phil, Peta, Sue or Kylie would love to show you around so you get a feel for the place. Fully air conditioned (great for the stinky hot summer) training room, weights room and equipment room. Treadmills have iPod docks and the big screen TV's are great for motivational music clips. More and more people joining every week...

I have been training with Jab Fitness since March last year Alison Graffunder and so far have lost 29 kgs. I am still going but the support that I have received from everyone at Jab is amazing.
Vicky C. replied:
P & K Training at Alligator Creek...just like a big family. I have dropped 65 kgs and kept it off since going there. Inspirational trainers and always new classes being added. Bikram Yoga starting this week. I usually join gyms and lose interest after a few months, but I love this place. If I miss a day I feel like crap and can't wait to get back. We train hard and still have fun doing it..

There's a ton of good ones. Fight and Fitness as mentioned, El Nino, FTCC, World Team USA, Dragon House, and plenty more. Honestly, most if not all are legit, and have great trainers. If cost or distance isn't a big deal, just try all of them out and see which one you like best. Edit: added more gyms and text

I'm blanking on the name, but one of the gyms in SOMA is connected to one of the Gracies. I also believe Tareq Azim, Jake Shields' trainer has some connection to it as well, even though I think he trains over in the East Bay. My biggest recommendation is to find the one that has enough Muay Thai classes that you can go at least 3 x a week at first. It's still fun, but it's hard to get better only going 2 x or less per week until you have more of a grasp on it. Some of the boxing gyms started offering muay thai as an afterthought since it's popular, but they can be really lukewarm unless the trainer is really serious. Also, look for older trainers as well. That's usually a good sign.

Anyone know the prices at Avera Fitness Center or know any good gym recommendations in SF?
foundtheseeker replied:
I have to recommend the [Great Life membership](http://joingreatlife.com). Same price as a gym membership, and you get the golf to boot. Even if you don't golf, it's still not more expensive than other gym-only services.
EatLard replied:
What kind of equipment are you looking for?
ivinh replied:
I assume you're talking about the Avera McKennan Fitness Center on Southeastern? Last I checked it was $70 for single membership and $100 for couple, $120 ish for families. Nowadays Great Life is a better deal imo.
