Chris, Ritalin is prescribed here, definitely. And it's very easy to get. I walked into a Clinica Biblica clincic in Heredia and said that I just moved to CR, I'm on 50 mg/day of Ritalin, and they wrote me a prescription for it. The new prescription monthly was a ripoff, having to pay the doc monthly. Walk into clinic, say I need to refill my prescription for Ritalin, they send me upstairs to see the doc, I tell the doc the same, he checks my vitals, gives me the prescription, I walk back downstairs and they fill it.
