My official translator is in San Jose. She will allow you to scan and email your documents to her. She sends you price and arranges meeting time when translations will be ready. Some people from other parts of country come to San Jose day before they are going to submit application packages, meet translator to pay for and pick-up translations. Then, submit application package to Migracion first thing next morning.

You can also use ANY Notary in Costa Rica for official translations. Notaries in Costa Rica are different than in US. Only lawyers can be Notaries in Costa Rica and not all Costa Rican lawyers are Notaries.
