Hospital Intensivet. Even if you find a good primary vet, this clinic is open and staffed 24/7/365. I have driven 3 hrs to take my emergencies there.

Donna, do you still have tricare standard? I am a disable vet and Tricare standard does indeed cover us and even has overseas numbers. If you go to a private hospital then you will pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by Tricare though. I can recommend Phil Eitman insurance and his office number is 2653 4300. If he isn't in your area he can be or has someone who is. He has a LOT of insurance companies he brokers. Tell him I sent you.
